Tears On Tape is the Finnish ‘Love Metal’ band HIM’s eighth studio album. HIM is back, and better than ever. This album has no ‘filler’ tracks; every single song is equally as good as the next. Notable mentions: Tears on Tape, Hearts At War and Heartkiller.

As always, HIM tracks are the perfect blend of outstanding vocals and killer use of instruments. The heaviest, most powerful tracks on the album are the trifecta of “Lucifers Chorale,” “W.L.S.T.D.,” and the outro to the entire album, “Kiss the Void,” which wrap up Tears on Tape with the sound effects of the end of a cassette tape and the familiar sound of a cassette tape stopping. Nostalgia at its finest.

Many fans are already raving that this is HIM’s best album thus far. The Tears On Tape album is sacred to me, this album marked the first HIM show I was ever able to experience. After being a fan and follower for many years, seeing the band perform live was everything I dreamt it would be and more. Without any doubt, HIM has the best live show I have ever seen. Valo’s vocals are even more outstanding heard live. I have never heard a vocalist with such a range, such control and such a beautiful voice.
