Poetry: Imagination

image2-1Imagination

The imagination

Such a powerful ability

Without wisdom

Imagination is a cruel taskmaster

Humans cannot decide their place

To live in the present or the past

Each hold different lives

Much can be learned by visiting the past

But only for short visits

Extended stays rob you of how far you have progressed

And dreams for the future
