Poetry: Choose

image2Choose

I’m finally choosing you
The way I should have everyday

Even though you’re not here to choose anymore

I feel the strings that always held us together
Holding me now
Bringing me back to you

My insides tied to yours
Even though yours are now ashes in the ground
