Poetry: Believe Me

poetry

Believe Me

Believe me

I promise you

There are more people to meet

Landscapes to travel through

I know

It’s hard to keep what’s left

Of your dignity and faith in humanity

I promise

You are stronger than you believe

The aches

The pain

Will subside

All of this

One day will be a blurry memory

Please

Stay with me until that day

The sun will still shine

Beautiful days will come

Life will return anew

As the flowers blossom

As you watch from a new horizon

You will be reminded

Everything is cyclical

You will wish

I will wish

That you had stayed
