Summer Recap: Lacombe Days 2017

LacombeDaysAs summer draws to a close, I am reflecting on some of the fantastic adventures I embarked upon. At the top of the summer 2017 highlight reel is an unexpected entry – Lacombe Days.

This was my first visit to Lacombe, small town Alberta paradise. This charming prairie community is nestled cozy in southern Alberta.

Lacombe Days consisted of many firsts – a drive in movie (Suicide Squad – what an amazing soundtrack), trip to a blacksmith, show & shine and a gorgeous display of flowers!

Yes, I know what you’re thinking – how can you be from the city and never have attended a show & shine? Well, that is a good question! After seeing what Lacombe offered, my eyes are now peeled for similar events!

Lacombe is a gorgeous little community. It was truly wonderful to see the swarms of people coming out to celebrate the town. There were tons of activities to partake in. A library book sale, market, museum tours, walking tours and even outdoor yoga.

I love the prairies. I can’t imagine living anywhere else.
