Poetry: Ode To A Brother

poetryOde To A Brother
You lived loudly and boisterously
You loved unconditionally and fiercely
A loyal friend
A true brother
We are one of the same
Partner to all stages of my life
My heartaches divided
My triumphs multiplied
I will remember
Your inquisitive mind hungry for knowledge
Ready to inhale every breath of excitement
Your insatiable desire for laughter and thrills
Your life’s adventures
Chaotic and confounding
Are In league with legends and myths
I’ll cherish these memories
Keeping your spirit alive with every smile and burst of laughter
While you take your place in heaven
Amongst the angels clad in black leather jackets
The saints rejoicing over the repentant sinner
I rejoice in the marvel
that was you and your life
I will miss you beyond measure

this poem Ode to a Brother was as perfect as anything can /could or would be ..so fitting for the two people it was intended to reflect on ..2 lives ..one quickly fading out in a mere 6 weeks ..the other left to carry along alone with a full lifetime of memory to re-live alone ..thank you Miss Lisa Lunney this piece will be read many times ..
